Just as ‘Furore‘ designer Elke Baert always starts from white to build her color palette, artisanal porcelain also begins with a white base. The handmade porcelain accessories were designed by Studio Pieter Stockmans’ head designer Frank Claesen. The artisanal production of the porcelain took place in the Studio Pieter Stockmans workshop in Genk.

Frank Claesen fits seamlessly into the Stockmans line, yet creates his own forms.

During the Geneva Congress, the coordination group of The International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) paid tribute to Piet Stockmans by honouring him with the title of Honorary Member of the IAC. This title is a sign of recognition by the IAC of a career and commitment to a poetic vision of ceramic materials, at a remarkable level.
